Ted Stark, owner and CEO of M&M Verdi Luggage Company, and his beloved wife Betti-Lee Stark enjoyed the fruits of substantial business success, loved traveling the world both professionally & personally, and developed a life long passion for collecting along the way. Under Ted's stewardship the M&M Verdi Luggage grew dramatically in the 70's & 80's, becoming the third largest luggage manufacturer in the world. Together, Ted and Betti-Lee collected extensively in a multitude of areas, including Russian & Faberge Art, Fine Estate Jewelry, museum quality Satsuma, Royal Bayreuth Tapestry, English Silver & Transferware, Hairwork Memorial Jewelry, and numerous other areas as well. Having sold parts of their collection over the years (including their most prized possession: A Faberge Trophy Cup presented by Tsar Nicholas to the winner of a horse race held in his honor at Champagne on Bastille Day, July 14, 1902). What we bring to you today are the treasures they loved most dearly and held on to until they departed just weeks apart in Dec 2008 & Jan 2009.
